5Very easy to install.Dec 10, 2006
By Cheetokhan
Just got this to mount my new Mitsubishi DH1000U. I needed something that would let me mount my projector to a sloped ceiling, and this worked perfectly. Only took me about 30 minutes to attach this to the projector, mount it on the ceiling, and adjust it. Really easy to install and adjust.

This assembly is heavier duty than it appears in the pictures. All the joints are easy to adjust and are locked in place with pre-installed Allen head lock screws. Once the lock screws are tightened, the mount is completely rigid.

They even include the Allen wrench in the box. All you need is a drill with a 5/32 bit for the 3 heavy duty screws that hold it to the ceiling joist, and a Phillips screwdriver (I used a driver bit in a cordless drill).

The way this is designed, you could use it to mount a projector to a ceiling or to a wall.

5Simple and solidAug 07, 2007

I bought this to hold my HD1000U and it is working great. The directions are worthless. Putting it together based on the picture on the box was about as good. But it was so simple you really don't need the directions. It was as easy as finding a stub, drilling 3 holes and screw it in. Then mount the projector to the other end and attach the two sides. It will bend any direction you want and the extention bar is only needed if you want the 12 inch drop. I thought I would need it, but was able to install it without it. It looks nice and works great.

3For projectors with 3 mounting holesJan 24, 2008
By Autodidact "inetfilm"
This is a good mount but it is designed for projectors that only need three mounting points. many projectors need 4 mounting points (one in each corner) this will make this mount difficult to us....

1Projector MountMay 06, 2010
By lk2bnmaine "lk2bnmaine"
I bought this mount based on a review by someone who said that he had had the same projector that I had (Epson 8100). I use this as a wall mount in the back of my room which I am told I can. The mount should be gear driven as it slips because it is a smooth connection. The set screws do not hold it in place as they should, it still slips and the projector rests against the wall. I've had to readjust my screen to fit the configuration that this mount has decided for me. It states that it will hold projectors weighing much more than mine but It won't even hold my 18lb projector without slipping. I do not recommend this mount.

5Excellent MountApr 19, 2010

I am using this mount with an Optoma HD20 and could not be happier with it. This is a sturdy unit made of high-quality steel, nicely painted and finished. The installation is easy; I installed it alone in about 20 minutes with a drill, allen wrenches, a screw driver, and the included hardware. I opted to use the extension arm, giving a little more flexibility with placement, since the HD20 can be picky about where it is positioned relative to the screen.

NOTE: I had to remove the rubber feet of the HD20 in order to properly attach the projector to the 3-point mount. The feet will stop rotating while being unscrewed, but they will eventually give in and unscrew with enough gentle encouragement. The nuts will fall into the projector, but can be easily shaken out through the exhaust vent. The screws included in the kit will fit the holes where HD20's rubber feet are screwed in.
