4Ha Ha!! Don't forget the PLASTIC!!Dec 28, 2009

My boss LOVES white boards... wanted another huge one like this one (4'x6'). Apparently I am being followed by a white board ghost.... to cut most of the story out, I got the product very quickly, I had it installed, and my Finance Director wrote on the board... then tried to erase it. DOH! it wouldn't ERASE!! (and in case your asking, yes it was with a dry erase marker...) CRAP! I had a defective board!! the next two days I (and a few other co-workers of mine) tried EVERYTHING to get the board to erase...rubbing alcohol, soft scrub, vinegar, mineral oil, HAIRSPRAY, to no avail--it just looked more scratched and it was still "ghosting". I was prepared to send it back when 3 days later my boyfriend came into the office with me...looked at the board closely, and...wait for it... said "Honey? There's a PLASTIC SHEET on the board..." you know, that plastic stuff they put on so it doesn't get scratched?????!!? I'm an idiot. took the plastic sheet off and VOILA! works perfectly. SO.. the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was b/c the plastic sheeting has no identifying marks that it is on there. sheesh. :o/

These things are outrageously expensive in the stores but reasonably priced here. This board is magnetic, which I learned the hard-way that not all white boards are.
I would purchase again. Got for just over $200 inc shipping.

Ordered this for our department office because this seemed to be the highest quality for less than outrageous prices.

Pros:
-- Sturdy to write on
-- Easy to hang
-- Does not warp
-- Easy to erase
-- Very large, great for writing our departmental and individual goals

Cons:
-- The marker holder does not stay on well - will hold pens, but be careful when picking pens up or putting them back, as any movement will cause the holder to fall off.
-- Don't forget to order dry erase markers and eraser
-- Do not forget to take off the plastic sheet that comes with it.
-- You will need tools to hang it

1Packaging not the problemApr 10, 2012

I ordered the board and it arrived well packaged in foam and everything but once I opened it I saw that the middle of the board has a crease in it like it had been folded and the corner also had a crease or wrinkle in it. This makes no sense as the frame of it is in perfect condition making me think that it was this way before it was shipped? Now to return the item I need to find my own way of shipping it back and thats easier said than done as it's 4x6' and won't fit into a car. So it looks like I'll be forced to keep a 250.00 board that was damaged before they even mailed it. Not happy with this purchase at all and I wouldn't recommend them.

This a a wonderful dry erase board. Cleans very easily and the finish is so smooth. We use it for home schooling and are exrtremely pleased with it. Great price for all the product you get too!
