The SS7619-15 6-ft. power strip with AC surge suppression offers a convenient method of horizontal or vertical power distribution in equipment racks, computer rooms, workbenches, raceways and more. Includes 24 NEMA 5-15R output receptacles with 2.795-in. center-to-center spacing, 15-ft. AC line cord and adjustable mounting clips for installation in a wide variety of applications. Protects connected equipment from transient surges and line noise with built-in surge suppression rated at 450 joules. Corded, multi-outlet strip reduces cabling clutter and enables the connection of multiple electrical devices to a single AC wall socket. Features rugged all-metal housing, lighted power switch with transparent guard to prevent accidental shutoff, 15A resettable circuit breaker and attractive gray color scheme. 5The Quintessential Workbench Power StripFeb 13, 2011

I mounted this power strip on my garage workbench. Six feet long with 24 outlets and integrated surge suppressor. This power strip is built like a brick telephone booth--outstanding quality. Easily mounted to the top of my workbench with three mounting clips.

Note that if you do mount a strip 'against the wall' leave at least one inch of clearance. There are many DC power supplies (cell phone chargers, drill chargers, etc.) that have a bulky transformer at the plug and will be wider than the strip.

5Perfect size power strip for a long desk or work benchAug 29, 2011

A few years ago, I had built a custom editing workstation and bought a 5' power strip that I bolted underneath the desk to easily plug in monitors, drives, and the occasional peripheral. The cheap strip I had used, was a pain, as when you pull plugs out, the outlet would literally pull itself from the metal casing of the power strip, exposing wire, etc. I'm looking to redo my editing station and the first upgrade was for the power strip.

This Tripp Lite power strip is way better than the cheapo brand. 6 feet long, it's perfect for an 8' long desk or bench. The metal casing is a beautiful, strong "aluminum" looking finish. The black outlets are secure to the case. The long power cord is great and the built in surge protection is a nice bonus. I can't get over the quality build of this product...it's solid, lightweight, and holds the plugs really well. There's enough space between outlets to handle the large power bricks, without blocking another outlet.

Overall, simple product, that's made really well.

5Useful Power Strip for Long BenchesDec 31, 2009

Just built my own workbench and needed a power strip to allow me to plug in whatever and wherever I wanted. This fit the bill. It runs the entire 6' length and has a generous 15' cord to plug into any available outlet. I doubt I'll ever run out of outlets. I mounted it above my bench through a pegboard hole into a board at the back. Decently sturdy though I would have hoped for more than just 3 mounting clips. Has a lighted power switch with a plastic cover to protect it from accidental pushes. Price is expensive, but competitive with other full length power strips. Seems to be made well, and it carries a brand-name. Overall very pleased.

This is great item for any location that requires numerous electrical plug-ins; kitchen, home office, work shop, etc.. It can be mounted so it is out of sight.

This 24 Outlet Power Strip is incredible. Works great, a very high quality product. With the included screw plates, it can be attached to the wall or any surface quickly and easily. I'm very pleased with how well it worked out. Fantastic.
