Hot food stays hot for hours even in cold weather!!Dec 16, 2007

This product works as advertised!! My husband is a carpenter and works outdoors every day. This thermos is the ONLY ONE that we have found to keep his coffee hot all day long (and we have tried many to find one that worked). He has had it sit outside in the single digits for more than eight hours, brought it home, and the remaining coffee he didn't drink is still so hot that it is steaming when I pour it out!! He is so happy with this product that I am buying him another one as a backup.

This is my second stainless THERMOS product.They have vastly improved in the intervening 30 years....After 2 months the astonishingly lightweight flask is a trusted household item.Wide mouthed for easy washing -filling- discharge. Holds heat like crazy, Have used it successfully in cool ,not cold situations.Makes an excellent ice water flask for workouts. The big sturdy cap is insulated with a SS outer shell. The bottom and sides of the flask proper have a rubber like bumper, so its kind to countertops and cupboards.. Hammertone grey finish on the body easy to clean,the narrow profile is easy to grip, the adjustable handle is great if you are in the gym and want to hoist some heavy water.

I was debating between 3 models that can hold 40oz to 61oz liquid: the work series, Stainless steel King beverage bottle and Nissan 61oz bottle, all by thermos. As they all seem to have good reviews, I was trying to collect info on the weight of each to make my decision. Unfortunately, the info was not available on Amazon or on Thermos website. Finally, I got the info via email from Thermos after phone inquiries. Here is a summary.

Work Series: 40oz, 2 lb.

King Beverage: 40oz, 1.5 lb.

Nissan bottle: 61oz, 2.8 lb.

In the end, I decided to get the work series. I guess that the rubber padding on the body and on the bottom add to its weight. But the rubber padding also provides protection. The capacity is enough for 2 people spending a day outside.

One additional info: I get the impression from other reviews that Thermos is made in the USA. Mine is clearly marked as Made in China. Nevertheless, it is excellent. I am very happy w/ it.

I was replacing a Thermos that my husband has had for 20 years. I had bought him others only for him to return to his faithful old one. Well the top finally wore out. I tried to replace the top only to find they don't make the thermos any longer. I read many reviews on different thermos' and decided to try the Work Series. Dear husband was so sure this would never be as good as his old thermos (nothing is made as good these days) Well I this is definitely the best even better than old faithful. We tested it by putting coffee in the thermos on Firday night and it was still warm enough to drink on Sunday morning. This is a definite recommendation. I am so very glad I could replace old faithful with something that met the highest expectations of my dear husband. Highly Recommend product
