4Check Model and Staple Size Stamped on StaplerFeb 23, 2012
By Richard Barr
I purchased these 3/8" staples for a 20 year old Bostitch B8 stapler. That was a mistake. These staple up to 40 sheets of paper, but they are too long for my old B8 stapler. Most staplers have the model and type and/or size of staple required stamped somewhere on the body of the stapler. Mine is stamped "Bostitch B8" and "Use Only Bostitch B8 Staples". The problem is that there are two sizes of B8 staples; 1/4" and 3/8". I assume that somewhere along the way, between the time I bought my stapler and now, the B8 staplers were redesigned to accommodate both 1/4" and 3/8" staples. So how does a person determine which size staple fit these older B8 staplers? I measured the height of the staple housing compartment, which was 5/16". Since 5/16" is less than 3/8", I concluded that the 3/8" B8 staple would not fit my stapler. Only the 1/4" would fit the compartment space. I hope my experience is helpful to some of you.

5Bostich StaplesMar 17, 2010

What can you say about staples? I'm using them in a Bostich Stapler I bought in college in 1968. I guess that says more for the stapler itself than the staples I use in it. Order was processed & received quickly.

5staples for thick paperworkJan 15, 2012
By Paula M. Robinette
These staples are great if you have a thick pile of papers to go through. You would need the smaller ones for thinnet stacks though these tend to leave the ends up on thin stacks but perfect for large stacks

3Product Fine, Delivery Not So FineOct 25, 2010
By C. Pettit
This product, costing less than $10 and being relatively small (2 1/2 inches by 5 inches, approximately) was sent in a box that could have easily held at least 50 of the product. It was sent UPS and UPS declined to leave it at my door, requiring instead that I make a special trip to pick it up and sign for it. When there, I was asked to describe the packaging to make it easier for them to look for it (not easy since it was not packaged at all as I had expected). UPS claimed that the sender required a signature, but I saw nowhere that a signature was required. It would have been nice if the shipper had specifically released it for delivery without a signature.

(also would be nice if vendor had different sizes of this model staple).
