5Stand and DeliversJul 08, 2010
By P. Burton
Great value for money monitor stand that looks good and functions well.

The black mesh look blends well with my predominantly black computer equipment and is a huge improvement over the pile of telephone directories I was previously using.

The stand is sturdy enough for a regular or large flat panel monitor without problem but I wouldn't want to try a large/heavy CRT (old-style) monitor, if anyone still uses one.

The design has a couple of nice features - 2 side compartments for holding the little stuff that can clutter a desk, such as post-it notes, paper-clips, pens, usb jump drives, etc. and a slide out tray large enough to hold letter-size paper easily. The tray is a mesh basket with one side open. I read another review that said things kept falling out of the open side at the back but I turned my tray the other way around and have the open side at the front; this made more sense to me. If you prefer to use the under-stand space without the tray you could just remove it completely and have just over 5" of clearance.

For the price I paid, I could not have hoped for a better stand.

4Solid and usefulFeb 23, 2009
By Barbara Krasnoff
I bought this so that I could store a rather large Thinkpad notebook underneath and place a monitor on top, and after a year, I'm still very satisfied with it. The drawer is very useful, although because it has no back, items occasionally fall out the back if I try to push too many in. However, that is a minor problem, and I plan to purchase another for a friend.

4worth the moneyJun 09, 2009

I bought this product to use at work and could not be happier with it. It is nice and sturdy so the monitor does not wiggle when the floor does (we are on the upper level of an office complex) The drawer is nice for holding papers that I need throughout the day and the little compartments on the side work nicely for my "scrap" paper and post it's. I have recommended it to co-workers already. Helps when you don't have a lot of space to work with. I also have enough room underneath to keep my pad of paper and a few other things.

4Measurements & Dimensions you need to fit a keyboard!!Apr 05, 2011
By Chris Hughes "Cow Man"
<<>>> If you have a narrow keyboard less than 18.65" inches in length it should fit underneath.

::: Detailed Review :::::

I got this riser stand for my 28" LCD that weights about 18lbs. It fits nicely on my desk and I like the front slide out tray and side pocket for papers and post-its. The construction is sturdy and holds my heavy monitor. However, it does not fit my gaming keyboard which is a larger size than a typical keyboard, but I knew this going in.

I took detailed measurements on the dimensions of the unit...

- The space between supports is slightly wider than 18.65" inches

- Without the tray the opening height from desk to under the top support is slightly higher than 5.0". However, the space below two welded in rails that descend is about 4.6".

- With the tray installed the opening height is slightly higher than 2.25".

Note 1: By "slightly wider/higher" I mean approx. 1/8 of inch in my measurements with a basic tape measure. If manufacturing is consistent the above measurements should be considered safe.
Note 2: My gaming keyboard is a Saitek Eclipse II that is approx. 19.5" inches. Even if I take the tray out and try to mildly force my keyboard at an angle it still does not under the riser.

4Sturdy StandJan 20, 2009
By C. Nimmer
This is a very sturdy monitor stand. I purchased another which bounced like a diving board, and this one is much better. It has 4 rubber feet on the bottom which prevent slippage (although mine only came with 2). It looks pretty slick on the desk, and the extra space it provides is great.
