I did a lot of reading the reviews of this and other similar products before I bought this item. It is a little expensive, but I like its appearance and find it sturdy enough for home use. I did not find the wordless instructions difficult to follow (just like IKEA furniture). Taking heed of others gone before me who had trouble with the water-activated glue, I constructed the whole thing without gluing the parts together, and it's holding just fine. I would have given it 5 stars except for the price and the slightly problematic assembly.

I went with 5 cause I didn't see anything else out there that is as good. I like the small size and the sturdy frame. I wouldn't put anything too heavy on top of it, but the frame is solid wood and this looks nice and it can support something on top. I bought one of the larger cardboard sorters and next to this one, it's an eyesore. This one is cool looking on a small table in the corner of my room.

Cons: The shelves don't have much space in between (about 1 inch - though that should be obvious from the photo), if you pick it up a lot, which I like to do cause I like to move it around, the top tends to loosen a little bit (unless you pick it up from the sides, but it feels so natural to just grab the top). You can fix this buy using some glue to hold it together, but then you can't take it apart, but that's a small issue.

44 bucks, the sale price seems a touch high looking at the materials but overall, it's a good product and it's study and handsome looking and it's better than anything else out there that I found.

I recently bought a 2nd one.

It looks fairly nice and is easy to put together, but the shelves can not be adjusted (pulled out to make a larger space) once it is put together.

This just arrived and it is going straight back. The description states "easy assembly" but that is a relative term. It requires hammer, nails and you need to glue. I do not consider this easy assembly.

I bought this to store all my folders with information I need within easy reach at my desk. It was easy to put together but it is quite heavy so make sure the place you plan to put it will support the weight. I added glue to the shelves to help keep them in place. The front strip that holds them in is a bit fragile and if the shelves slide freely, they could break off that front strip. I nailed a corkboard on the side for notes and store my daily planner on top of it. It's done wonders for making my work day a lot easier. I see no reason why it wouldn't last for years and years. A little more expensive than I planned to spend but it is worth it for me.
