these are the best regular self-seal envelopesFeb 21, 2011

I don't review much - something has to really make an impression. Trivial as it sounds, these envelopes did. I bought Mead ones before because of the brand name. They stunk - terrible design the way the envelope paper folded that made it really hard to get regular tri-folded 8.5 x 11 pages inside. They were big enough, but the seams of the envelope kept getting in the way of the papers you were trying to stuff inside, even if it was one sheet. No such problem with these bad boys. I just stuffed my state tax return into one - and in California that means including the fed return as well. Believe me when I say these envelopes were the ONLY thing that made me happy about doing taxes. So happy I just ordered another box of them, and I'm not nearly out yet.

Well, they hold the size paper they claim, the adhesive works as you'd hope, and they don't seem to rip. That's an amazon 5-star review right there.

They're serviceable and the pre-stick part is convenient but I ordered them because I didn't want to be able to hold an envelope with sensitive information inside up to the light and easily see everything. I thought I would no lonber have to fold checks into thirds or add extra paper to be more secure. But, I thought wrong. Oh well at least I have letter-sized envelopes (which I am always short on).

Nice envelopes. I ordered the 100 pack. Good price. Peel and stick closure. Security graphics prevent reading what is inside the envelope. Excellent for everyday use. I don't have any negatives.

package shows peel-away tape to the edge of envelope flap, but it stops 1/2 to 3/4" before that, on both sides; so every time you peel and seal there are two unsealed flaps that you can stick your little finger into; open enough to catch on anything; push even a little and the flap starts to unpeel; upshot? every time you use these you also need to use scotch tape; it's the one thing you want the product to do, and it doesn't; and the picture just isn't true
