Great horn driver for PA cabinetsMay 08, 2012

I've got a couple of brand-name stage monitors in which I've blown the horns twice now in each cabinet. The first time, I ordered replacement diaphragms for them, but after the second time, I had enough. I honestly don't overdrive them--it seems that the stock horns' power-handling capacity was simply too low (looking at the manufacturer's spec sheet confirmed this).

In looking for a suitable replacement, I found these Pyle horns, which look almost identical to the stock drivers, with the exception of the sticker on the back. Much to my delight, the PDS341 has a wider frequency response, and higher power handling than the stock driver. After trying the Pyles out in a few live gigs and practices, I am more than happy with them, and would highly recommend them for use in any live sound cabinet. They're plenty loud, sound great, and can handle plenty of power. And for the price, they can't be beat.
