We have three Alpine head units to go with this DVD player. I haven't been able to figure out if this is an issue with the player or the headsets, but unless you are seated in the center seat of the second and third rows (I drive a Pilot) you hear about 90% static. That is, children who are seated on the right or left can't hear the movie, and that's exactly where my car seats are positioned, so I always have to play the movie through my car's speakers which is a bummer if I want to hear my own music -- or nothing at all! Otherwise this works good and we're happy with it.
