Pay attention to what you are buying. A smart shopper will see the good here.Jan 08, 2012

This item is listed as a color eReader. If that is what you are buying it for and that will be your main use, then you will see the value of this item. You get what you pay for and the buyer needs to keep in mind what they are buying and educate themselves. It uses the B&N app (an older version of the Nook app), but it works fine.

Do NOT approach this with the idea that you are "getting a color Android tablet at less than half the price of a Kindle Fire, or Nook Color!!!". If you DO approach this in that manner, and you don't know what Cupcake/Donut is, or the speed of this one's processor, or the amount of RAM this one has, or that this is a resistive touch screen (as opposed to capacitive), then you will be SORELY disappointed.

I paid less then $85 (eighty-five dollars) in total for mine, and mine has a stuck pixel, which wasn't bad enough to go through the trouble of replacing it because it is not noticeable while reading in the B&N app.

I think this is *still a little too much*.

The price seems to fluctuate on a weekly basis, but anything *under* $70 (seventy dollars) makes this remanufactured unit worth buying as an eBook reader (eReader) for the average consumer.

I say again, ***buy this as a color eReader***.

As a bonus, it will play MP3/AAC/WAV files, can act as a digital picture frame, and there just happens to be a few apps from SlideME market that will work on it. I had even put another ebook reader app on it (FBReader), and an audiobook reader (Ambling BookPlayer).

I DO, however, think that the seller needs to improve how this item is listed on Amazon.
Doing so would earn it another *star* in the rating from me.

App market: SlideME market (Does NOT run The Android Market app)

If one is technically inclined and spends some time on some of the Android related forums, such as SlateDroid (and related wiki dealing with QVC models), and is willing to take the risk, many more wonderful things can happen with this tablet........mmmm tasty Eclair.

We purchased this for our daughter (11) and it is PITIFUL!!!! Should not be sold EVER!!! Trying to Return, but this seller has not contacted us back yet -- immediately bought the Kindle Fire instead, should have known the price was to good to be true!!!

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE -- Dont waste your money!!!!!!

This is not a good purchase. Extremely slow system, couldn't access any apps, etc. Highly recommend not buying. Stick with a more expensive tablet if you want good use from one...

This is a mistake just look to another company. Im sure the product by pandigital was a great item however, i never was able to turn on the one i ordered bc i came with a cracked screen. Normally You would immediately look to blame the shippers(ups fedex etc) except in this situation an expensive electronic device was sent in a box that had no indication it was fragile. How would the carrier know an ereader from a box of socks without special handling instructions. I paid $17 for standard shipping come on!!! Aside from the cracked screen this company "Factory Depot" gave me other issues. I contacted the carrier and this company "Factory Depot" the second i received and saw the cracked screen. This was the week before Christmas and I didnt receive a response until I threatened a bad feedback score on amazon after new years. I sent the item back via the free return shipping label provided by the carrier and didnt receive any response again from this company until once again another threat was made regarding negative feedback. Once they did respond no apology, not sorry for your inconvenience, nothing, simply stating my refund would be posted in 24-48hrs. Well I waited 5 days and no refund. I threatened to call amazon and report them if i didnt get my refund in 24 hrs. I finally did receive my refund and purchased through ebay instead. Disaster and ruined Christmas, save yourself the trouble.

I ordered two of these for my daughters for Christmas. Ages 7 and 11. The casing on this tablet is plastic and so doesn't appear to be very sturdy. It took forever to boot up. The touch screen is not very responsive. It has an app store but it is very limited. The screen resolution is terrible. As far as using it for a book reader, it guess it will be okay. You have to consider the price you are paying. I have a Kindle Fire and it is 100% better than this product. Of course, it is $199 as opposed to $79. So again, you have to consider the price you are paying. For me, the fact that the casing is plastic was the biggest let down.
