The Panimage PI1056DW 10.4' Digital Photo Frame is plug and play for fast, easy transfer and display of your digital photos. No software is needed, just use a USB cable (included) to connect the frame to your pc and start dropping and dragging directly to the frame's internal memory. Alternatively, you can transfer photos and video from your memory card or digital camera. Store up to 5000 compressed images on the 1GB of internal memory. The built in 6 in 1 card reader recognizes CF/xD/MMC/SD/MSPro/MS formats. To begin a slideshow, simply insert your memory card, and enjoy. The viewing aspect ratio is a generous 4:3, and the stunning 800x480 resolution LCD panel within a black wooden frame blends with any decor. Another satisfying product from Pandigital. I have just found the perfect gift for my Mother. In the past I have purchased numerous items from the manufacturer Pandigital. Their quality,performance, and affordability have always exceeded my expectations. How perfect is this! Keep in mind that my mother is 87 and her vision is not what it used to be. With this 10.4 inch Digital Photo Frame she won't miss a detail. Simplistic in operation makes it easy to use and it uses a true photo 4.3 aspect ratio, just like a digital camera. No distoration, stretching or cutting off the photo. She will be able to view it perfectly, from wherever she is sitting. It also handles the broadest range of media functions. In the future, for her birthday, I can download a video of her grandchildren or even music that she would love to reminiscence on. Hands down, with all these attributes, this is definitely a gift that goes on giving! My mother is going to love it...........

5Great Digital Picture Frame AND Power Supply!!!Mar 27, 2012

The other 5 star reviews cover pretty much everything I would say here except I wanted to inform those who say they are having problems with the power supply aren't really being thorough enough or accurate in their claims. I too had this thought run through my mind when my DPF did not work after two weeks. I find that a lot of end users assume it is the power supply because the unit appears to be dead with no power, just like I did, but after testing my power supply with my volt meter I discovered that the power supply was indeed putting out the required voltage. So, I read ALL of the manual, this time around, that came with my DPF and called the customer service help line where they were very helpful and told me that the older Pandigital units have a bug that sometimes when they go into sleep mode they can't be woken up. They pointed me to a web site where I could download the new bug-less firmware and via the USB cable (that you use to upload the pictures with) I uploaded the new firmware and now my great Pandigital unit is AWAKE again and all of my uploaded pictures are there. So glad I read ALL of the manual! Thank you Pandigital for great customer support too!

Purchased this for my mom as a christmas gift and received it very fast. I tested and loaded some pictures from her birth day party. Nice and pictures are crystal clear. You even don't need to have a computer to load the pictures. Excellent product, I recommend.

As an Electronic Technician I am aware of all the features of this digital picture frame and many others. But all I wanted was a good display that's easy to use and this is it. Worked right out the box. As a matter of fact I plugged in my memory card and after about 1 minute of me not doing anything it self started the slide show. How much easier can it get. To top it off the display is very crisp and clear. I am not one that always has to have the best of the best. I just like it simple! I will not use 90 percent of the features this frame has. All I want to do is display pictures and this device does a great job of it.

I thought this would be a great Christmas gift and it worked for about six hours before it wouldn't work at all! Very dissappointed in the product. Then not a simple return! Granted finally got most of my money back, but it's not an easy process.
