5Massive Roll of Thin PaperJan 02, 2012

Got this for toddlers to scribble on and it works well. It is thinner than notebook paper, but we have been able to use both sides for scribbling. The roll is huge and appears to big and heavy to go on top of a toddler easel, which we had been considering doing. The paper is easy to tear, but we will be looking into getting a paper cutter to make cleaner cuts, or scissors. We may use this to cover a table for toddlers to draw on, 18" is a good size for easel drawing, but if I were using to wrap a table top the wider roll would be more convenient. We will need to find a way to store the roll for easy use, it is big and standing in the corner on it's end until we figure that one out.

I love this paper! I was afraid that with it being so reasonably priced that it would be tissue paper thin, but it is thicker than regular notebook paper. In fact it is thicker than the colored rolls of paper that I use to cover the classroom walls. It is awesome. I am a high school math teacher and this is perfect for making posters.

I used this roll for my kids Melissa & Doug Deluxe Standing Easel. Its a bit large but cheap and will last a very long time. Its much cheaper than buying the 18inch x 75ft. roll for 10 dollars a piece.

I purchased this paper for sketching woodworking and other patterns on, general craft use, and to protect my working surface. This paper has a very nice feel, and looks great too. I was pleased with the packaging too: the roll hadn't gotten dinged up at all. I haven't had a chance to test the absorbency of this paper yet, to see how well it glues or takes paint.

This paper is listed as 40lb, and according to information on Staples.com's website, it should exceed the quality of "Heavy," and should be quite good for general use. To give you an idea of how it compares to other papers, I have reproduced the information from their site regarding paper weights and their uses.

Standard 20lb use for Copy machines, Plain-paper faxes, Faxes, Drafts, Printing emails, High-speed copiers, Jam resistant
Mid 22-24lb use for Copy machines, Inkjet/laser printers, Proposals, Presentations, Double-sided printing, Customer-facing documents
Heavy 28-32lb use for Color laser, Inkjet/laser printers, Signs/flyers, Double-sided printing, Professional presentations, Heavy-coverage documents
