This is the type of record book I have used for years as an engineering notebook. The 300 page size lasts me almost exactly one year, so I don't have too many of them floating around. Since it is hardbound with stiff covers, it is easy to carry from meeting to meeting. The size is excellent for my use. Slightly smaller than 8.5x11, it does not take up too much table space in a conference room. And one inch wider than other lab notebooks I have used, it has enough space to hold the notes and drawings I use as a programmer.

In addition to being a high quality product, it is simply better looking than most other lab notebooks. So, from time to time, it generates a little "notebook envy" in my coworkers.

I am a PhD student and I use this for all of my meetings and seminars to record information, action items, and even take notes in some cases. It is surprisingly thin for 300 pages without compromising paper quality, and did I mention that the pages are numbered? Two thumbs up for helping me keep everything I need (that's not on my laptop) in one spot.

Size, binding, and, most importantly, quality and feel of the paper make this the best notebook out there. I used National Brand notebooks before, tried other brands, and came back to National Brand. They are worth the extra cost.

I will keep this short and sweet. I'll second all the good reviews on this record book. Great quality over all. We open this here at work to write records in probally 100 times a day and the binding still good as new!

I have a stack of these that goes back 10 years. I don't have much to add that the other reviews don't already say except for one thing. If you ever want to patent an invention, it helps if the original documentation is in a bound notebook with numbered pages. So this would be what you need.
