I've had one of these for over 5 years. Still working great. Buy the splitter and and charge 2 things at once.

Don't ever buy a charger for the car or home again. Waste of money.

This thing has saved me at least [...] in cell phone and ipod , blue tooth chargers.

I was on a long conference call while sitting in a parking lot using my iphone 3gS connected to the iGo charger. The phone was about 25% before I started the call. Through out my call, the phone was "charging" as indicated on the iphone. As the call continued, I noticed that the battery percentage kept dropping until it dropped past 5% and then phone powered off. The only thing I can guess is that there is really not enough power coming out of these chargers for concurrent usage. I have two of these chargers. One with a green and another with a blue light when plugged in. I do not know if there is any difference between the two other than color. I was using the blue one which is newer purchase.

FORGET Radio Shack and their super-inflated prices. This iGO products are almost 400% cheaper at AMAZON. These products work perfectly and are quite durable. Amazon got this one right! Under $5.00 for the charger! You'll need a connection tip that fits your phone, also under $5 bucks.

I got lucky because a while ago I ordered some adapters for my new iGo only to learn they were for the older model. It was not worth returning them but I'm glad now as they work great with this older device. Just be careful!!
