3Good for the price, but...Jan 29, 2011
By Andrew Altman
These headphones do what they say they will do, and the quality, etc. is fine. The PROBLEM is that the battery case hangs heavily on the cord, and at a very inconvenient location. If I am wearing a shirt with a pocket or a button up shirt, I can slide the battery compartment into those, although it makes me look like a doofus. You can't just let them hang loose, because they catch on everything. The reason 9 out of 10 headphones break is that the wires get pulled slowly from their connection to the ear pieces. Even if these don't eventually catch on something and get ripped out at once (which is what I am expecting to happen), they WILL eventually pull themselves free just by dint of the weight of the battery compartment. If I am lucky and careful, these things might last a few months. If it wasn't for that stupid battery compartment, they might last for years. Think of these as a really great chair that comes complete with a fat guy sitting in it that you have to ask to move every time you want to sit down. The deeply stupid placement of the battery compartment is the only flaw of these phones, but it is SUCH a dumb flaw that I cannot recommend the purchase. These things are just dying to be broken, which is a shame since they are otherwise excellent, especially for the price. I would advise anyone reading this to hunt about for a pair of phones that either have the battery compartment ON the head piece, or to abandon noise cancellation altogether. The REALLY dumb thing is that they could have easily attached this to the head piece without changing the cost or ease of manufacture. I know - I've had a few NC headphones before that did it. What's the point of headphones that are no good for walking around?

The earpiece broke after th 3rd use. It is now trash and $39.95 down the drain. I would never recommend this headphone.

2Chalk this up on the fake products listJan 17, 2006
By N. O. Y. Business
I am usually wary of products that propose that they are able to compete with other products of the same category, all while being a fifth of the price. Well, I fell for this one, and I encourage all those looking for real noise-cancelling headphones out there to avoid this product.

The headphones themselves aren't that bad, but don't let their pseudo-noise-cancelling abilities sway you from another product in the same price range. When they can't even cancel the sound of a computer fan, I highly doubt they'll be applicable in any situations in which you have envisioned their use.

3Great for the kids!Aug 18, 2005
By Donna
I really don't have any experience with audio headphones, but we needed some to use with our portable DVD player on a 1200 mile trip. They worked great, the kids loved them and I thought they worked just fine too. They did make the kids' ears a little sore if they watched too many movies in a row! All in all they made the sound much louder and the kids heard less background and road noise!

1Buy if you need something to get annoyed aboutMar 16, 2011
By C. Muchui
I picked these up during the recession in the hope of saving myself some money while revamping my aerobic exercise music. But they are not even worth the packaging they are sold in !! They are quite bulky and the `noise cancelling' battery pack makes them cumbersome. I could cancel more noise than these speakers by just humming!! They could not even cancel the sound of a fart from the guy on the rowing machine next to me. I only used them three times a week for an hour and on the fourth week, the left earpiece went silent. Yeah, now it cancels the music from my iPod and allows every other sound!! I am getting riled up just writing about these....
