I bought this ink a few months back but just put it in around Oct '11 (so maybe 2 months). I am a very casual printer - I print recipes and coupons but not much else. I also bought the Lexmark Black Return Program Print Cartridge and within a very short period, the ink needed to be replaced. I was VERY disappointed. Because ink is so expensive, I was looking for alternatives. Instead, I think I'll just buy it from a regular store where I know the ink is fresh and the box is brand new from Lexmark. The color return program ink doesn't last AT ALL. It is too expensive to have to buy every other month, particularly when you purposely buy the XL. What a disappointment.

The cartridge I ordered was defective. The first one was completely dry and did not work. I complained to BetaInk, the provider, and a second was promptly sent to me. The color of the second one was dark and not true. I complained again to BetaInk and was told that another would be sent to me.
