I say that because I've had 4 Energizer brand replacement batteries for this camcorder, and ALL of them failed withing a few months of purchase. I've had the camcorder for I think about 2 years. The original battery is still working fine. I purchased 2 Energizer's to supplement, and both failed within 2 months. They were replaced under warranty. Those failed. I gave up on Energizer.

So I tried Lenmar. I've had this battery for about 4 months, and works great so far. Seems 100% as good as the original battery. The Energizer's were never as good (ran camera as long) even when new. This one holds a charge when not in use. The Energizer's didn't. Basically, quality control of Lenmar seems great. Given you can't get the original batteries from Sharp anymore, this I think is your best option today. And the price is right.
