I have a 25' sailboat that's older thus most electronics are NG. I needed a unit with depth and a basic GPS. Installation went well, including caulking the sending unit to the inside bottom of my hull (caulk not suggested per manufacturer). It works and can be removed if I had an issue.

I had to speak to customer service for an issue I had (my bad, not thiers). They were VERY helpful and knowledgeable and even sent me a new sender specifically designed for inside the hull.

It was VERY comforting to excperience a manufacturer that supports their products, which is increasingly rare these days. Bravo!

This product does what I want and more...When I catch a fish I can mark the spot and get right back on the fish. The screen is very readable and it does not take a genius to operate.

What a wonderful combo for fishing. You can tell where you are going, where you have been, where the fish are, how big they are, you can chart a new course - this thing does everything as advertised, and is so practical. I can dismount it to take it home. The the money, it is a great bargain. The only thing is, it won't catch fish.

I thought that a GPS - Fishfinder combo would run over $300, until I found this unit. I ordered it, and found the installation instructions to be very good, installation was straightforward, and the unit is much more capable than I would have guessed based on the price. I'm a novice boater, so don't have much experience with these things, so perhaps I'm easily wowed. The map is fairly pixelated at high zoom, and it doesn't have a navaid database, but you can store something like 2000 waypoints on your own. It has tons of adjustments for everything from sensitivity to screen brightness. I'm very happy with it.

I purchased the Humminbird 161 Combo 4-Inch Waterproof Marine GPS and Chartplotter for my Father as a Birthday Gift. I planned on enjoying this with him as I was leaving for vacation to visit. The gift arrived the day after I arrived which was fantastic..installed the next day and off we went for 5 days of fishing. Thank-you Digital Oasis for providing an affordable priced product..Humminbird 161 Combo 4-Inch Waterproof Marine GPS and Chartplotter is an excellent durable product..Thank-you Amazon for making this all happen..
