I got two different heaters from amazon.

My friend like the other one

because the other one include remote control

and choose the high and low and it has display which show the

room temperature

but this one only has the Adjustable wheel button

it's simple and I like design

the biggest reason that i like it is

it's quiet

1Not worth your moneyJan 25, 2008

I bought this heater to go under my desk at work. While the turn knob is simple and is suppose to allow various settings, I have not had the experience of enjoying any settings. The heater shuts off within a minute. It doesn't matter what temperature I set it at. It will not go back on unless I unplug the heater and let it sit for 5 min. I think my co-workers have seen me under my desk fidgeting with the heater more than actually up at my desk doing work. I will definitely be returning it.

2Creates lots of heat, but doesn't have much blowing powerJan 04, 2008
By Stephen G.
Bought this unit last week to put next to my desk at work, but I haven't been completely happy with it.

The heater turns on and heats up instantly, but it is more like an open oven door than a space heater. The heat is there, but the fan in the unit doesn't have much blowing power... so you end up with heat for 1 or 2 feet in front of the unit but not 4 or 5 feet in front of the unit. I had it under my desk today and couldn't figure out where the heat was going... it sure wasn't circulating around anywhere.

The unit does put off a lot of heat... unfortunately I couldn't find a happy medium between cooked ankles and cold ankles.

I like the simple temp knob on top, but I end up leaning over to turn it up and down all day as I get cold and hot.

If I were shopping again I would get a unit with more than one level of heat, more than one fan speed, and an on/off switch so I don't have to unplug it every day.

Stay warm!

1DONT BUY, I HATE THIS HEATER!Nov 04, 2010
By nekome
i am a person that listens to reviews very frequently when buying online, unfortunatly i had the misfortune to buy this is the store and go along with advertising!

i also use heaters a lot! not that i go through them, but i have one in each room i frequent! i hate hate hate hate the cold! i can't stand it!

this is a deplorable product!

-the product is loud, so loud it distracts you from what ever you are doing! work, writing, reading, talking, peace and quite, or hanging out! so quite, just a loud repeated deep whirring noise that goes on forever!

-the heater might as well have one setting of heat! no difference and no change! want it a little cooler? WELL TOO BAD! sorry no can do!

-in reference to the last point, the timer for the heater goes off in what feels like an instant! there you are with the heater at a slightly unreasonable distance so you can feel the heat, but no burn your self, and it just turns it self off! then it takes an extraordinary amount of time to turn itself back on! so you are freezing your butt of waiting for it to heat up again! might as well not have a heater!

-the little trey/base it is on lets you adjust its aim to face higher, which would be nice if you were a super small being! it raises the heater about half an inch, which makes no difference! so there i am in the kitchen (i have the heater just outside of the kitchen door, but i stand near it) with my legs on fire and top half from the thigh up freezing cold! what is the point?

-oh and i know they tell you this, but i am just saying it because i had a close call! watch out or it will burn you!

thank you for listening, hope i helped!

1Fickle, inconsistent, arbitrary, unpredictable. Don't buy.Jan 03, 2012

Avoid this unit. I bought mine a few years ago and have held it in reserve until recently, when my dearly beloved and exceedingly sturdy, reliable Windemere heater (lasted 18+ years, no longer made) recently died. The Windemere could have survived combat. They really do not make 'em like that any more.

My experience with this Honeywell heater has been similar to that of reviewer F. Ellis. The heater would turn on, but would turn off at will, for no apparent reason, and would not turn back on again unless I unplugged it and let it sit for awhile. Until I read the other reviews on this site, I had assumed my electrical wiring was unsuitable and that the unit was "protecting" me by shutting down. Ha! Now I know. This heater is very unpredictable and unreliable. Although the name on the front is "Honeywell," the name on the bottom, and the telephone number to call for service, is for a company called Kaz, Inc. It's made in China.

I dragged this out of storage as a back-up to use until I can find a suitable new replacement heater for my Windemere. Judging from the many reviews of a multitude of space heaters on various sites (Consumer Reports, Amazon, etc.), a good, reliable, affordable space heater is as rare as an honest Wall Street banker. For the time being, I will continue to warm up my pajamas in the bathroom by sticking the hair dryer in them.
