This tape is as advertised. Just a few details that are not included. The tape is the consistency of almost cured rubber cement. Very soft and pliable. You can actually stretch it to the point where it pulls apart with little force. It bends and molds to the mounting surface with ease. This makes using the tape a breaze for most applications. The problems that I had with it are that it does NOT cut easily with a razor blade lengthwise but with scissors perpendicular to the length without any issues. It is somewhat thick, as most mounting tapes are. It is also not so sticky that the mounted item can not be removed without some care and leave the original surface intact (most surfaces).

This did not work out for what I originally purchased it for but I have used it for other applications with success. If you are looking for a one shot, never be removed again, it is now joined permanently type of tape this is not for you.

I found this product several years ago. Now I keep a roll at home and one in the car. Sticks just about anything to anything, but where it excels is in sticking signs to walls, wireless doorbell buttons to the doorjamb, sticking USB hubs to the desk, etc. You won't be sorry if you buy this tape and use it. Get two rolls, once you try it, you'll be using it everywhere. Tired of something you stuck with this tape? Use a putty knife to get between the joined surfaces and push. The tape will release.

I use this tape inside cabinets that get hot, so I need a double-sided tape that can stand up to high temperatures. This tape works great, without damaging equipment.

This tape is amazing stuff. I have used it for tons of applications. It bonds metal to metal, plastic to metal. I'm sure it would also work for wood(works on drywall/painted surfaces) but I haven't had a chance to test that. When Comcast ( my cable provider ) switched everything over to those "DTA" boxes ( Digital Transport Adapters ) that come with the extended IR receiver I ended up having to use this stuff to get it to STICK to the top of the TV ( box is physically behind the TV, using this tape too! ). The provided two sided tape wasn't cutting it, and it kept falling down, so far it hasn't moved an inch! I have used it inside computers to attach things ( CCD lighting for example ) and they have lasted the test of time and abuse. I've used it to attach signs, "rubber feet" to stuff that needed to be higher(and where screws or glue were not a good option). Good example is blu-ray player needed to sit higher than my HD Comcast cable box ( the Comcast box gets HOT! ), so I used it to attach some little rubber feet to the bottom of the blu-ray player and it looks great and is plenty strong enough!

All in all, I can't say enough great stuff about this product. The only "bad" thing(s) I can say, it's difficult to find locally if you need it in a hurry ( Staples did have it, IIRC ), so order a bunch and keep it handy. Also, this stuff isn't cheap, but a big roll of it (~30.00 or so ) will last a long long time as a little bit goes a long way. I know 3M makes a grey version of this product, not sure about that, a friend if mine turned me on to the "4010" (the bigger roll is "4010-long" ) stuff, and it just works so well I'd hate to buy anything else now. As other reviewers have said, cutting it is tough, and getting the little red strip off is the hardest part of using it. I use scissors to cut it to length, and then a razer blade or exact-o knife ( or your finger nail ) to pull up the little red covering. The red covering comes off easily once you pry a corner of it up. This tape can be removed, but I'd be very careful if the item is easily bent or otherwise easily damaged.

TLDR: Great stuff, 1001 uses, buy some.

I used this to stick those little convex mirrors on the side mirrors of my car as the adhesive they came with weren't strong enough (my side mirrors are heated and ended up melting it...). So far so good - it's been 3 months and they haven't moved at all withstanding multiple car washes, storms, high temperatures, etc.
I highly recommend this product.
