Watch out for older cartridgesMay 04, 2008

I purchased these in April 2008 and they have a "Must be used within 6 months of April 2008 for warranty to apply" date on them.

My local retailer has the same cartridges with "January 2009" as the date.

I thought I was being proactive by buying extra cartridges and but I doubt I will use these in 6 months.

Next time I purchase a product with a limited shelf life I think I will stick with a local retailer so I know that I am getting a newer product.

Amazon - If you all are reading the reviews... For products with a limited shelf life figure out a way to let your customers know this ahead of time. Also consider discounting products that are nearing the end of their shelf lives. Otherwise you won't be able to compete with local retailers.

Even at Amazon's lower price, this ink costs $7,480.00 per gallon. How can anyone have anything positive to say about such robbery? This is not Amazon's fault; in fact, Amazon offers this ink at the lowest price I have found. I guess it could be worse as some Epson inks price out to over $20,000.00 per gallon.

...because you will not get what is pictured and described in this listing.

If you make the mistake of ordering from 77INK, you will get "generic" blue and white packaged, remanufactured garbage - NOT "Original HP 98 Black Ink Cartridge Twin-Pack, Retail Packaging"

As with all ink, way too costly for way too little ink. If not for the space in landfills I would rather buy a new printer for less then the cost to buy new ink.

I purchased these in December/2009. I received free shipping with delivery right to my door. No Christmas shopping crowds or long lines to deal with. The expiration date on my cartridges is: August/2011 by which I will surely use these two cartridges. I have had good success using HP ink with my HP printer so I was well pleased with this transaction.
