The HP 61 black ink cartridge has been extremely useful for me; it works very well with my HP Deskjet 3050 printer. The cartridge slips easily into and out of place and the ink never runs or takes any time to dry.

If you can catch a sale on these, stock up--they're worth it! The only thing you need to remember is to remove the pink strip of tape covering the actual cartridge before installing it.

I recommend this product.

ok ink at least the printer knows its hp ink and not aftermarket that is not compatible. The seller was easy and sent fast A+++++

I don't know how much there is to say about printer ink, but when you can get an individual pack for under $15 I consider that a 5 star victory. Club warehouses were selling 2 packs for $60 so this was quite a significant savings. I have a HP 3050 printer and the ink couldn't be easier to install. Open the little gray door, push down on the old cartridge so it pops out, slide new cartridge in after removing pink tape, close little gray door and voila. The only annoying thing was the printing and scanning required to re-align the printer, but I don't think there is any way around that.

I am using this HP 61 black ink cartridge in an HP Deskjet 3054A, just like my printer's directions say to do. You can always double check to make sure this cartridge will work in your printer by using Amazon's helpful tool near the top of the product page.

I've purchased and used this cartridge several times without any problems. The cartridge's lifespan is average--it doesn't run out too quickly but I have had to replace it every couple months after moderate printing (maybe 10-15 pages per week).

The price of this ink is fairly low relative to that of many black inks on the market, so if it works in your printer you stand to save a bit of money. Keep in mind that there are also large-capacity and twin-pack versions of this ink available, HP 61XL Black Ink Cartridge in Retail Packaging (CH563WN#140) and HP No. 61 Ink Cartridge, Twin Pack, Black, respectively. They may be better deals depending on their prices. I have found that you actually get the cheapest per-cartridge price for this ink by buying the twin pack, but from Staples rather than Amazon. Plus, Staples usually offers free one-day shipping on ink.
