2well it's a radioAug 16, 2010
this device is as clunky as a hammer made of jello, and feels about as ergonomic.
not sure what Garmin was smoking when they made this but let's see monochrome with bad lighting controls, awful menu, tiny useless buttons, serial cable connect to pc.... yeah the totally obsolete no reason to use serial"the port no computer has had for a long time", battery compartment is well stupid but unlike the other features.
so let's summarize junk and obsolete junk this thing pisses me off and costs a couple hundred dollars.
just buy a real gps they cost less and work, and one can only hope garmin and the other mfrs have come out of the stone age and use usb.

GPS signal is very poor. I ordered two of these and a month and a half later one of them already is malfunctioning and I cannot return or exchange it because I've had it over a month. I would not buy this item again or recommend it. I would buy two separate items in the future, a GPS tracker and a separate radio. For being Garmin built it's certainly on the lower end.

5Amazing toy and toolNov 02, 2008
The Rino 120 allows you, at an affordable price to know where you are in the world, where your buddies are as well and to have on-going conversation. The unit performs as advertised. I used the Rino on a game bird hunt in rugged eastern Oregon. Our party was at times a couple miles apart and separated by some deep ravines and high ridges. Sound transmission was great. Battery life seems good. The only thing to remember is to check in at intervals so that your location will continue to update on the map. The perfect tool to stay in contact and stay safe.

5Garmin Rino 120 for huntingSep 29, 2008
I hunt with friends. The Rino 120 allows me to not only talk with my hunting friends, but I know where they are for safety. Keep adding more accessories for the 120 .

5AWESOME LITTLE TOOL!!!!Sep 04, 2008
I bought this item for my brother, who lives in the Rockies and does quite a bit of hunting, fishing and four-wheeling in the woods. He told me that this little gem has probably saved his life at least twice since he's gotten it. He's gotten lost in the forest a few times and has used the unit to get his maps to decipher his location, plus call our other brother to get his location after getting separated. What more can you say about an item than it can actually SAVE LIVES! ;-) Most impressive little gadget.
