4Good, basic unitAug 26, 2010
When I first got this unit I was disappointed. It just didn't function the way I thought it should (i.e., page context seemed wrong, functions seemed out of place, etc.). But after about an hour actually reading the manual and manipulating the unit, I came to like it.

The unit appears well made, fits comfortably in the hand, and the keys are functionally arranged. For the $$ I think this unit is a good value. It matches well with what I need a GPS for; simply navigating from point to point to point.

The software packaged with the unit appears to work well - USB connection is simple and the software is very intuitive - no complaints.

460, a replacement for our 60csxNov 07, 2009
This 60 was purchased to replace the more expensive 60CSx that died, with switch problems. This unit, same design and shape, works well. The monochrome display is hard to read, even with the light on full. The 60 uses battery power even when connected to the computer. We use our GPS's for Geocaching (we have 4, Garmin and Magellan). The 60 lacks some things the 60CSx has, but is a lot less money. Overall rating, I would give it a 4 of 5.

1Review of Garmin GPS 60Feb 24, 2009
I purchased the Garmin GPS 60 to get the anchor drag alarm, which product advertising and information says it has. The so-called alarm gives one, and only one, barely audible " beep" and that is it. This clearly is not an "anchor drag alarm". An alarm must be continuous until it is shut off. This would never awaken a sleeping individual, and is consequently useless as an "ancor drag alarm". Product advertising and information is very misleading and wrong. Disappointing for a company like Garmin.

2Can't understand the instructionsDec 27, 2008
Have been unable to use the GPS to find out how many miles I've hiked on trails in the mountains because I don't understand the instructions.

I have enjoyed this product since the day it was put into my hands. My brother has one and he enjoys it very much and its a great help geting places. I use mine a lot to find geo-treasures and getting from point to point. Its been a great help and would recommend it to anyone who is starting out in geocaching.
