Great tuner - Heavy as Hell - Built like a tank - Leds and size of leds big enough to tune 30 feet away from the thing in good and bad lighting conditions - Brand name ''Planet Waves'' is really cool 'cause it's the title of a great Bob Dylan album recorded with The Band...............I've read reviews where people had noise complaints coming from the thing. So far it has been really noiseless to me and a couple of friends using the same one - Good for tuning bass to!........Better than Fender in construction and use for bass. Better than the classic Boss one in price and led size.

Pros:
This is a great tuner i have had for over a year with no problems
Super Bright LED display
Easy to connect and use

Cons:
Heavy... but not to bad
You have to buy a power supply because it eats batteries. the good news they use the BOSS PSA power supply which i got around 15 bucks new.

Best pedal tuner on the market in my eyes!!May 14, 2011

I did allot of touring with different bands like Panic at the Disco and Johnny Rottens new band so a decent tuner is really important on tour.
When you go over seas you rent allot of gear sometimes and getting something that fits into a rack isn't really practical.
Most of the pedal turners used are either that crappy boss tuner or tuners that are hard to use and cost $400 on up. I had a Peterson StroboStomp2 Virtual Strobe Tuner Pedal VS-S2.
I think when it first came out it was around $400. I think they have dropped the price to about $200 but that pedal was junk.
The management company bought it for me so I couldn't complain too much.
I have had about 5 of these D'Addario PW-CT-04's and they are definitely road worthy!!
They are built like a tank!!
You'll notice the difference immediately when you take it out of the box.
I mean it's heavy! I've only had one problem with the one that I had and the battery pedal latch broke but I beat the hell out of it!!! (still works but the latch was busted D'Addario sent me a new one!)
It's very simple to use and the lights go in a circular motion correcting you on which way you need to turn the headstock tuning nut.
This is a huge improvement over the crappy side to side tuning of the boss pedal. Plus the colored note lettering is much larger and easier to see than the tiny one the boss has.
This is very important when you are on stage and the stage lighting is either real dim or blinding you. In that situation it can be difficult to see if you had some other pedal..
This D'Addario is so clear and bright that Stevie Wonder can see it when he tunes his piano!! LOL.. I'm only joking
The new pedal that I purchased here on Amazon was actually for my friends little brother for a birthday present. I couldn't believe how cheap it was!! I think that it's even more than half the price of the Boss TU-3.
I can't stress it enough, BUY THIS PEDAL!!!

If you like heavy, good.

If you have to carry the pedal anywhere, it is just too heavy.

The versatility of the tuner is very nice, along with true bypass.

But how many guitarists carry just a guitar and a tuner? What about effects, an amp, sheet music, etc. Each of these adds their weight. This one is too heavy. I prefer and own the pitchblack by Roland. Almost as good and less than half the weight (and not a lightweight at that).

I would have bought this pedal if it was half the weight (still heavier than the typical BOSS stomp box).
