4Offers flexibile connectivity, easy to manage connectionsJun 11, 2009
By Charlie
This is a pretty hefty surge suppressor but it feels very sturdy. The sockets are very tight, so your A/C adapters don't just fall out.

Pros:
The transformer-spaced outlets worked perfectly.

Cons:
The included coax cable is RG-59, so I didn't even bother to use the coax protection. Most cable companies use RG-6 for your cable modem or HDTV connection, so why even bother with inferior RG-59.

Overall:
I wish it had more outlets, but the Amazon description is incorrect. It is protected up to 3600 Joules and not 2950. The packaging clearly states that in the event there is a surge, the device has outlived its purposed. Hopefully the LED indicator is truthful in relaying the condition of the surge suppressing semiconductors.

I bought two of these for my office since I wanted an updated surge suppressor for my gaming rig.

5Good features, right priceAug 03, 2010

It was hard to find a 10-outlet suppressor for a decent price. This one does the job and even has the slide-over covers when outlets are not in use. Good product.

4Best Protection Ratings AvailableFeb 29, 2012
By TheRowan
Did a *lot* of researching looking for the best surge protector. Primary goal was to have 330V on the clamping voltage, with an at least decent amount of joules to go along with it. Hopefully the 3600J this is rated for will allow those extra sensitive 330V MOVs to survive a bit longer since theoretically they'll be shunting voltage to ground a little more often. According to Cyberpower's website this product has 330V clamping. While technically that is true, it's only on the H-N line, the other two lines are 400V. Still better than the 500V I've been seeing on every single other surge protector out there.

Package was the evil clamshell style, however my dedicated package opening device made short work of that. 8 foot cord is quite thick and allows for a good range of placement. Plugs are indeed stiff to plug into, but that would actually help if you desired to install this upside down under a desk. Power switch seems sturdy, and hopefully it is as it will be getting used a lot. Tested all 10 outlets with a fan first to make sure they all worked and indeed they did, and the strip didn't blow up or smoke either. Two of the outlets had the slide cover pop off while trying to wrestle out the plug, but they were easy to snap back into place. All switch covers moved fairly easily open and closed.

5Saved My Computer!Feb 25, 2008

During the last ice storm power outage. Had a surge in the power line which blew my old surge protector. But my computer was not even bothered by the surge. I don't know about other surge protectors, I've don't mess with what works.

4I hope I never need it, but its there!Jul 24, 2011

I installed this in my dad's house for his telephone, cable, printer, modem, router, and computer. Everything was straight forward. Got him another one for his TV, dvd, cable box etc. Seems like a cheap insurance policy. If it is ever put to the test and saves his equipment, I will rate it at 5 stars!
