Comes with: pad with 20 pages to draw on, 3 markers and a stencil set. This product adds fun to drawing and coloring and comes with a stencil set for those who would rather just color in things instead of draw something up. The rainbow colors are very pretty and nice to look at. There are some annoyances though; Simply touching the paper will stain your hands, and will leave stains on other things, and having liquids around it isn't a good idea. The markers themselves seem to last only for a few drawings, the tip gets black and stop working. It tells you to rub them with a paper towel, but that doesn't always work, when it's done, it's done. It's best to draw things without always coloring them in so the markers don't get used up so fast. I can see that the markers won't fill up much more than half the pages of the pad, and I haven't found any way to buy more of them. Why would you want to anyway? There's no reason why anyone should have to shell out more money to even use up the twenty pages. This product is genuinely fun, but it needed more work if you can't even finish the whole book with the markers that are available, not to mention the other small problems. Good concept, crayola, but needs more work.

I bought this for my son who has autism. He loves the brilliant colors that seems to appear slowly before his eye. The stencils are nice and you can order refill black paper here...more pages from Amazon!
Cool gift. My daughter like this a lot too. One drawback, if your hand are wet or handle black paper tooooo much, it will come off on your hands-so probably not for really young kids!

I have bought Crayola Color Explosions Products twice, both were on sale somewhere. Maybe I got old stuff, but the markers do not last. We maybe got two markers to last through five pages with this last purchase. Wiping the tips and letting them rest overnight helped us get a bit more out of them but not much. As someone else said, possibly just drawing outlines and not coloring in the images would help, but how realistic is that? I called Crayola with complaints and they said the problem was likely that I got some that had been on the shelf too long. They did very kindly volunteer to send me more markers. After reading reviews here, I am not so sure I got old product. If this item does get old, why not put a 'best if used by' date on them? As others have said, this is a great concept and when it does work it is amazing. I am usually 100% satisifed with everything Crayola. Wish they could bring this up to the quality of their other products.

i bought this for my son for a transatlantic flight. only to discover the thing didn't even work. NO matter how often we wrote on the paper NOTHING happened. figured it was a bust i put it back in the bag and left it there for the remainder of our vacation. when we were headed back to the states i started cleaning out the bag when i pulled out the paper and realized the marker HAD worked. so i tried it again (on land) and it worked immediately. it took forever to dry though (talking almost a WHOLE day).. tried it again on our flight back and once again NOTHING happened. was not very impressed with it and neither was my son. too bad great concept!
