I don't know how this cable has gotten as good of reviews as it has. It is a very low-quality cable. As it is listed, it's VGA, not SVGA (higher quality) nor does it has a coax core. I plugged in this cable and immediately noticed horrible ghosting in the image. I mean VERY bad. The cable is also missing a pin in the connector on both ends which I assume would be the horizontal sync pin. This would remove the ghosting, but it doesn't have it. For the sake of your eyes, pay a few more dollars for a Coax SVGA cable.15ft Coax SVGA Monitor Cable Hddb15m/hddb15m Thats the one I ended up buying and it looks great.

This is a very great cord, but as others have said. The "15-pin connector" is actually a 14-pin connector. And assuming because of that, with certain combinations of resolution and refresh rate, it will ghost a little bit. Many widely used resolutions and refresh rates are fine, however.

There is not much one can say about something as mundane as a monitor cable. This one works great, is plenty long, and is exactly as advertised. No need to buy expensive fancy brands with catchy marketing when this works just as well. I am using this one to connect a laptop to the SVGA interface on my HD plasma.

I wanted a longer VGA cord for my TV.. (I have a 6' and it works great) so I bought this. It makes the screen darker, Very unclear, and produces a faint Double image that looks like Total Crap! I plugged it into my standard monitor because I thought maybe it was just the long cord into a bigger TV.. nope, Same thing on my Ultra Sharp 17" monitor. DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!!! NOT RECOMMENDED TO ANYONE!
