Make sure you understand that this is an EXTENSION cable, meaning one end is male, the other female. Fortunately, I already had a short S-video with male/male, which is what you need for a direct connection of one component to another.

I agree with the other reviewer who likes the quality--this is a really thick, well made cable.

BUT the rubber coating around the plugs is also very thick too, meaning that the plugs might not fit into some jacks that are crowded with other plugs. (In other words, you might have to whittle them down with a sharp knife.) Just keep that in mind. This somewhat offsets the quality of the cable, thus my 4-star rating. Price seems reasonable for the length and quality.

Thick cable, seems very sturdy. I'm not a quality expert but I connected my computer to the next room with the cable and I see very good quality so far. Can't touch this price.
