You don't really have much of a choice when it comes this, since as far as I know nobody makes compatible, cheaper "generic" labelmaker tape. The price might be a bit steep, but that's probably my only complaint--and not a very strong one at that since Amazon has it at least a little cheaper than most other stores.

It holds up as claimed (I've had one label on my mailbox outside for a few months now with no yellowing, peeling, or other problems), and is compatible with my labelmaker. I can't ask for much more.

By the way, don't be confused by the product's name: the "e" in "TZe" indicates "environmental friendliness" compared to an older package that used more plastic. It doesn't indicate a different product line from the "TZ" tapes which they are identical to in all other respects. In other words, they're basically the same and are interchangeable since it's only the box itself that's affected, so don't be confused if your labelmaker calls for one or the other. (Just don't get an incompatible size!)

The label maker is designed to waste a whole lot of tape. I've found that if you print multiple copies and change the margin setting to "narrow" that you will save a whole lot of tape.

The tape is good though; holds up under multiple washings with dish soap.

I ordered the whole p-touch system for my boss and he loves it, speedy delivery was also great. These tapes last a long time in my experience, you get your moneys worth with Brother products.

Well, gosh, Amazon always seems to have what I need when I need it. I bought this little Brother labeler a few years ago and then did not open it for another year. Why I'm not sure, but the fact that it was buried at the bottom of my closet might have had something to do with it and I'd bought it with the idea that I'd use it as a caption maker in a particular photo album... well, that photo album languished and I stalled. Then, I finished that photo album. Twenty five rolls of 32 exposure film... Our Trip to Banff... and our last time to use real film... Yikes... What a task that was! Two cameras often shooting the same place. Well, that was interesting! Finally I got those prints organized into an album in chronological order. I remembered I had that labeler, so I rummaged around and when I found the labeler I I didn't have enough tape for the job. But Amazon did.

So... thanks Amazon, once again!

I recieved this product in new condition on time, put the cassette in the labeler and It works good last long time.
