5Work HorseJul 20, 2011

I use this surge protector in my kitchen to protect my more expensive appliances. It's seriously heavy duty and works perfectly. I also know from personal experience that if you have a power surge that fries the protector, Belkin will exchange them for free (after the surge, all of my appliances were perfect by the way). What more could you ask for?

5A man's powerblock!Dec 12, 2011
By Vynny "Vynrod"
I bought three of these as I was tired of the black 12v DC blocks that come with every gadget these days not fitting properly in those cheap six outlet plastic power blocks. I also wanted something really heavy duty and I got it!

With the Belkin 10-Socket Metal SurgeMaster you know you're getting something that will do the job. The unit itself is made of thick metal and is quite heavy - much less chance of it being tripped over or pulled of the wall. It has four cross-hatched wall mounts on the back so if you decide to mount it you can, and each outlet is just far enough apart to allow for all but the biggest of wall warts to fit next to each other. The bright orange power button indicates you're ready to go and it has an amazing 15 foot long power cord.

Now this is a mere surge protector not a line conditioner so do consider adding a good uninterruptable power supply with line conditioning capability if you're hooking up to delicate electrical equipment. But if you just need a good power block with ten outlets that's chunky and built like a tank then this is it.

5Good product, GREAT price!Nov 22, 2007
By J. Howard
I needed 10 outlets with surge protection where the wireless router, two computers, a fax machine, an answering machine, two cordless phones, two lamps, and a back massager live in my den. I was shocked at how much you can pay! The more expensive ones tend to be covered in white plastic; this one is gray metal with black outlets. It works. Who cares what it looks like? These items are usually placed under desks or tables where no one sees them once they are in use.

51980's nostalgiaDec 25, 2011
By Jack Falk
Ok, right, this thing looks like it belongs in the 1980's. True.

But it's built like a tank, indestructible, and has a ton of outlets. Very high quality even if the aesthetics are missing.

5For 'iCharger' users, this is form + function = perfectionOct 04, 2011
By Paul C. Huang "Paul Huang"
If you have more than just a handful (we have 20) iPad chargers, this is what you need. It perfectly accommodate ten iPad or MacBook/Pro/Air chargers. Of course, smaller iPhone/iPod chargers would work just fine, too, but for those, you may just use something else with a smaller footprint.

Take a look at the customer picture to see how well it fits. The chargers do touch each other after you plug it in, but it's not a problem. It's just nice and neat once you get all ten plugged into it.
