I bought two packs of these last week to move with and I used every one of them. Most were not filled with files or office work, but with dishes and tools and all sorts of things. They held up extremely well. In some cases I feel I over packed them and the handled ripped, but the boxes stayed intact no matter what, which is the important part.

Usually bankers boxes are sold in packs of 12, but not here. In making price comparisons, note that THERE ARE ONLY FOUR (4) BOXES IN EACH OF THESE PACKS. The boxes appear to be of good quality for lightweight usage.

These are not a stout as those I used at work, but they are fine for home use.

I'm kind of an idiot, so I found them difficult to assemble, but my roommate put them together very quickly.

I can't speak to whether they will hold up as storage for hanging file. I don't plan to use them that way, but if I did I would want the stouter boxes like they get at my job.

The boxes are fine but $17 for 4 boxes is too expensive - made a mistake when I ordered them and thought it was for 10 boxes. You can buy a 10 pack of the same boxes for about the same price elsewhere and at local stores

I use these boxes for organizing my basement, there are a couple reasons I buy them instead of just using plain brown boxes with taped flaps. 1) They have uniform lids that fit every time and keep the dust OUT. 2) They are standard sizes that fit easily on shelves and hold just about any item from paperwork to toys. I mark them with a unique number on the outside, fill them with storage items, and then on a separate index card, I write the number of the box and IN PENCIL, everything within that box. I keep the index cards upstairs in a recipe box and the boxes themselves safely stored away in the basement. When I need to find something in storage, I go to the index card, find which box the item is in, and then locate that box. This organizational system works well for me and the only boxes that have been able to stand up to this use are Bankers brand.
