Strong enough glue for Sterilite containers, probablyJun 18, 2011

I recently bought this Avery sheet of removable labels, along with three other removable label products, two from Post-It:

Post-it® Super Sticky Removable Label Pads, Assorted Neon Colors and Sizes, 21 Pads, 525 Labels per Pack (2900-M21)
Post-it Tape Roll Removable Labels, White, 1 Inch x 700 Inches (2600-W)

and one from Avery:
Avery Removable Label Pad, 1 x 3 Inches, Assorted, Neon, 120 Labels (22011)

Of these four products, only the one in this review (Avery Removable 1 x 2 5/8 Inch White ID Labels 750 Count (6460)) is strong enough to stick to Sterilite plastic containers, such as:
Sterilite 18848012 15-Quart See-Through Latch Box with White Lid and Peacock Latches

The other three labels all curl up and off the plastic container surface, eventually falling entirely off. The ones in this review stick and don't curl at all if applied to a smooth, flat surface. The glue on these labels is strong enough to stick to plastic containers, but you can peel them off without any residue. Perfect. (So far--I'm writing this review about a week after using these labels. So far so good.)

I know more and more people are carrying around high-tech address books, but I love my old leather wallet/personal planner where I can get info without turning something on or worrying about the battery running down. When these removable labels came out several years ago, I started printing out my address/phone book info with a label for each person or business. Since they seemed to change their info more often than I wanted to change my tabbed planner address book inserts, these easily allowed me to print out an updated label, pull out their old one and pop the new one in. It's fast, easy and keeps it neat. I also use them for file folders I know will be temporary, so I don't have to throw the folder away when I'm done with that project. The only problem with these is they're hard to find now. I'm so glad Amazon hasn't stopped carrying them. One of these packages lasts me a long time and I save a lot due to their remove-ability.

We print these labels 2-up, and use them as price tags on assorted vintage items, including LP covers, "silk" scarves, wooden carvings, fine glassware, posters and porcelain. These labels are very adhesive, but remove easily, leaving no residue. They are large enough that, even printing two tags per label, there is plenty of room for detailed descriptions. Added bonus: Amazon's current price is *more than $9.00 cheaper* than OD or Staples for this packet!

I bought these for my book that I am selling on Amazon, "What Lies Behind His Eyes". Had to label all of them with the labels Amazon gives me to print out. These labels are perfect for the template they give you. Just put them in your printer and print the PDF that Amazon gives you... came out perfectly.

This is a good product if you are selling products that you plan to have fulfilled by Amazon. It is the required size for labeling your products and the labels come off when you want them to, without leaving residue on your books or other products. As our business progresses I plan to order this product on a regular basis.
