4Looks good but avery wizard software has a problemJun 08, 2010
By D. L. Sosebee
I like the way these look when printed and inserted into my DVD cases, but there is a slight problem with the Avery Wizard software. I downloaded the latest version of Avery Wizard from their web site for use with Microsoft Word, and selected template #8891 as instructed on the item itself. However, I find that when I use Avery's template the center part of the printed information, which should be printed in the 'spine' location, is offset about a quarter inch to the left and doesn't come out in the proper location at all. After several tests, I ended up creating my own template, after which everything worked just fine. It seems odd to me that Avery can't get templates for their own products to line up correctly.

If you want to label your DVD cases simply and properly, this is it. Go no further. It's practically "goof proof."

1Cant get to work, don't bother...Jan 29, 2011

I installed the software and consulted Avery.com but after 2 hours i just gave up.
I finally just ran off the covers on normal paper and used a single sheet from the pack as a template. Don't waste your cash

2It sucks.Mar 31, 2012

I don't know what the deal is with these DVD case inserts. But I went to the web sites of two or three of these manufacturers and they're all TOO SMALL! If you buy these templates, they're too small! Be forwarned. They're not wide enough. That is, from cover two cover, left to right, they're not long enough. If you buy these templates you have three choices: 1) You can print them for your DVDs with a big gap in the back betweeen the end of the insert and the edge of the DVD case. 2) You can print them with a big gap between the end of the insert and the front edge of the DVD case. 3) You can print them with the insert centered right square in the middle (looks good on the spine), and have a gap on both the front and back between the label insert and the album edges. Pick any of the threee ways. They all look tacky. I finally gave up and made my own cover in my photo shop. That was the best. All it would have taken is for the manufacturer of these DVD inserts to add another ½ to ¾ of an inch to the template. Is paper that expensive?

3Flimsy DVD InsertsJul 14, 2011
By asiana
Although I realize the inserts can't be too thick if they are to go through a printer, I found these inserts to be too thin. And although they are supposed to wrap around a DVD case, they do not do so. I divided the sheet into just a front cover and hand wrote the titles thereon but couldn't get the insert into the spine section of my DVDs.
