4This CD Storage Case gets the job done ;for the most partOct 09, 2002
By Sean C.D. Robbins
The whole purpuse of investing in a CD rack is to be able to store your CD's in a relatively condensed manor, while at the same time helping to preserve the condition of the outer jewel cases. In that regard, it holds its own masterfully. The price is also very reasonable considering the total capacity of cd's that can be stored.

Just be forwarned that this storage rack (along with many others)is not intended to hold a large quantity of "double sized jewel cases" (commen with many Playstation one and 4 disk Japanese/ foregin 4 disk sets). IT IS INTENDED FOR SINGLE JEWEL CASES. it can only hold about 3 or 4 "double sized jewel cases".

Overall, a great value, just keep in mind the above inperfection.

cons

tips extremely easy on carpet and if you have a lot of cds stacked at the top

poorly designed, it is a vertical cd rack that doesnt have individual slots for cds, so if you want a cd from the bottom of a stack you have basically pull the whole stack to get to it

putting it together was a pain, the one i bought i had to break a piece of metal just to fit it in its guide holes.

again..poorly designed... doesnt even fit cds that well, there are gaps, and the cd casses are loose fitting

pros

..........

i guess it can hold a lot of cds....

4Pros and consJan 29, 2006

I have three of these CD towers, and in general I'm very pleased with them. I like the wave design, and they hold a LOT of CDs. I don't mind having to take off a whole stack of CDs to get to the one on the bottom, and as long as you balance the distribution of CDs properly, they don't tip that easily. I always place mine next to a wall, anyway. My biggest problem is that they are sometimes very difficult to put together. Of course, that is only a temporary issue, although an incredibly vexing one.

5Compact, sturdy, useful--and it fits the description perfectly !!!Jul 12, 2007

This Atlantic CD Storage Case makes attractive CD storage a reality. It requires little assembly and the cherry wood base and details at the top add a sense of refinement that you don't always get with a CD storage rack. The rack fits in a corner, a closet or just about anywhere as it is compact yet big enough to hold up to 110 single jewel case CDs in a compact, vertical space.

In addition, the wavy black colored steel rods going up and down the sides of the CD rack are tastefully designed; this is one CD storage tower that won't ever be an eyesore! The wavy design fits in especially well with modern or contemporary décor.

One reviewer notes that this CD storage rack doesn't hold too many CD "double sized jewel cases." In my opinion, they're partly right. It can hold two or three of the double sized jewel cases on each level of the tower--and with nine "levels" that's about eighteen double sized jewel cases. Not too bad. If you need storage for more double size jewel cases, however, you may want to consider another type of CD storage rack or case.

Overall, this attractive, easy to assemble storage tower houses CDs very well and the cherry wood base and details give it a handsome appearance. It goes particularly well with modern or contemporary décor and it lasts forever (mine's about two or three years old already). The rack is easy to move about as it is only six or seven pounds at the most when empty; and you can even place it in a closet if you wish to keep it there for any reason.

4does the job while looking good!!Apr 18, 2005

as someone else mentioned its not the sturdiest rack out there, but it has not tipped over on me so i really cant complain.

it looks good, and its easily put together.

as for the sturdy issue, i look at it like this. since when do you place cd racks in the middle of the room?? NEVER!!

people will typically place them in the corner of a room which is fine and you will NEVER have an issue with the rack at all. i have mine set right near the entrance of the bedroom door and i have brushed up against it and bumped elbows with it, and it ever so slightly moved a little but nothing where i was worried about it falling. oh and i have carpet in my room which makes it for a less sturdy foundation.

i have even thought about purchasing another one for dvd's.

personally speaking i def recommmend this cd rack.
