5Rock SolidSep 23, 2009
By S. Hagerty "Kilted Cook"
It took me quite a while to go through all of the stands listed here. I finally picked this one because it was metal, which meant it wasn't going to be flimsy; it was fully adjustable so it would fit my case snuggly enough to have a good grip; and it looked like it was wide enough to not be tippy. There are many comments for this stand that talked about the wingnuts not threading on easily. The problem is that the manufacturer paints the parts with the bolts in place, and the paint gets on the threads. There is really nothing wrong with the threading itself. Two of the four of mine went on just fine while the other two were a tight fit. It was a simple matter of gripping the wingnut with a pair of pliers and screwing the nuts on until they get really tight then backing them off a bit to clear the threads then screwing it back down again. Repeat this until you get them all the way down. It really wasn't a big deal. That aside, it works great, holds my case well, and rolls easily even on my carpet. I'd definately recommend it.

3Inexpensive CaddyJul 20, 2008
By polarisdth
Pros:
*Inexpensive
*Easy to put together

Cons:
*When being rolled, the CPU case still tends to slip inside the caddy, even with the rubber inserts provided.
*The photo gives an impression that the caddy is silver/chrome, or shiny, at least -- when, in fact, it has a dull, greenish color (but it's under my desk; so, who cares?).

5Reclaimed some desk spaceFeb 08, 2007
By J. Caldwell "Gadget Freak"
I have a Dell XPS tower that takes up loads of desk space. I wanted to place it on the floor but was afraid the case would be full of cat hair and dust in weeks. This cart solves my problem perfectly as it raises the case about 3' off the floor and allows me to easily slide the computer out of the way. And the casters allow me to easily swivel the case when I need to access the connections on the back.

1BEWARE: Computer slides right out the back of this holder.Feb 13, 2009
By Tony Wayne "Tony"
Reasons this doesn't work:
1. The holder is too small in length. You have to center the CPU in it and it doesn't stay centered because when you try to move the unit the CPU slides. If you have a small CPU it may be okay..but I bet it will still slide. There is nothing 'holding' the CPU in. Don't be fooled by thinking it will 'clamp' onto the CPU. It doesn't and if it is done too tight...when it slides it will scratch the CPU.
2. The CPU when moved slides out the back. Not a good thing to have your system slide out and tilt..this may cause damage.
3. Of the 8 wingnuts that came with it only 2 actually fit completely on. The others were manufactured with defects. I guess no one tests that part of the product before shipping. I needed to purchase my own.
4. I am now looking for another one and feel I wasted [...] on this item.

4pc caddy does the jobMay 06, 2007
By G. Phillips "bricoleur"
i wanted a caddy to make my pc wiring more accessible, and i wanted it as sleek as possible, so as not to destroy the aesthetic of my workspace. the allsop did the trick. it's easy to assemble & lightweight too! my one complaint (a tiny one at that) is that the caddy in the photo appears to be brushed chrome, while mine is closer to filing cabinet grey-brown. all in all though, a great item.
