It's no high end cable, but it's a solid low-midrange cable. The screw on lock gives it a good connection with the port on the components and the sound doesn't sound like it's being shaped or colored at all. Just a plain straight through signal.

I don't use it to connect my better components so my opinion of the sound may be different then but for low-midrange components it suits my purposes well at a really good price point.

Simply the best bargain for a premium level audio/video cable, same class as Monster Cable, bust half the price and double the sturdiness, a must for any A/V enthusiast.

This has to be the most undersold item since fresh air. There was nothing on the AR or Amazon websites, written either by the manufacturer, the seller, or the reviewers, to indicate the simple facts about this cable. So here are the simple facts from me.

SIMPLE FACT #1: There are two cables, i.e., a stereo pair, not one. One has plugs with red AR logos, the other has white AR logos, following the standard protocol. The TWO cables are webbed together, but may be pulled apart if needed.

SIMPLE FACT #2: BOTH ends of EACH CABLE are terminated with RCA plugs, so that altogether there are 4 plugs. The pictures did not make that clear. The picture on the Amazon site showed just two plugs without showing where the cable went in between them. It could either represent two ends of the same cable or one end each of two cables, without indicating what's on the other end. The AR website was even worse. It showed the other end of the cable as unterminated, i.e., just bare wire. Apparently they were trying to show us what nice wire they use, and the fact that they ran two signal conductors inside the sheath, instead of letting the sheath be one of the signal conductors.

SIMPLE FACT #3: The conductors are oxygen-free copper and connections are silver-soldered.

Prior to ordering these cables, I tried to get answers from the reviewers to the above questions, but received no response (thanks, guys). I decided to roll the dice and order them, and am happy I did, as pleased with them as I am (but no thanks to Amazon, AR, or the reviewers).

To add insult to frustration, I now note that the price has been lowered by $1.80 under what I paid. I strongly suspect that the lower price is associated with the incompetence shown by AR and Amazon in displaying and describing this product. I think they should appoint me their chief salesman and refund my full purchase price in gratitude.

COuldn't be happier with the cable. I replaced my expensive high end subwoofer cable with this and love it! Feel dumb for going with the expensive ones in the first place.
