1cheap and flimsySep 28, 2005
By Lisa Ablon
I received this item rolled up and dented! Not efficient at all! Too big for someone's home and too cheap looking for an office. I did not send it back because I didn't need the hassle. I ended up cutting it and using 2 of the months and I had to use thumb tacks just to keep the thing flat! Don't buy it unless you can see and touch it. The picture was very misleading.

4Helpful for Long-Term PlanningJun 18, 2011
By Medicine Resident
I am a resident physician with a work schedule that changes every four weeks as I rotate off one service and onto another. For short-term planning of events like appointments or presentations, I use my smart phone calendar; however, that calendar is not very effective for long-term planning that extends beyond a week or two. I bought this calendar to facilitate long-term planning for things such as vacation time and medical board exam preparation.

The calendar is laminated so that it can be used and reused. As shown in the picture, one side has three months and the other has four. I like using the four month side. There is adequate room to write your appointments for each day, although I would have liked there to be lines to write on. (The lack of lines is the reason why I am only giving it four stars.) The calendar does not come with any markers, so you should buy a package of wet-erase (NOT dry-erase!) markers when you buy the calendar. I got a marker set that had several colors, which is nice because it allows you to color-code your appointments. Cleaning the calendar is very easy if you use some rubbing alcohol, which you can buy at any drug store.

It's true that the calendar does come rolled up, but it's not nearly as big of a deal to hang it on the wall as some of the other reviewers have made it out to be. I hung mine by myself without needing anyone else to hold it open for me. It's also not true that you can't tape it up to the wall. I used packing tape, the clear kind like what you would use to send a package in the mail, and that worked fine. Personally, I don't mind the calendar being taped to the wall, because it's in my bedroom and no one else sees it besides me. But if the aesthetics of that will bother you, then I suggest buying a cork board to tack it up to. That will put a frame around it and make it look nicer.

5Great for college planningAug 08, 2010
By Kristin B.
I used this calender all through college and at work after I graduated. I love it for college because you essentially have each semester at a glance. You can take 1 day each semester and fill it out with all of your tests/projects/assignments/etc and then can plan your weeks and months around what you know is upcoming. I used it to make sure I wasn't over scheduling myself at work (or for dates...) when I had a tough week coming up. Also, when I graduated I put it on my wall in my office at work and used it to track monthly and quarterly projects. It is very useful. I am now buying my little sister one for her first year at college.

3Does not want to unrollSep 27, 2010
By Richard J. Green "Rick"
Nice calendar. Well made and large enough boxes to make notes. The only problem I have is it does not want to relax enough to put it on a wall and requires real tacking with pins, screws or clips. Tape will not do the trick (even duct tape fails to keep it from rolling up).
